Why? WordPress caused a lot of issues for me I was not able to solve easily. I have used so much time on .htaccess files and 404 error pages by now that I think it is more efficient to just make my own system, that just works.
I was trying to move the administration area of WordPress to a subdomain. In this way I could have SSL on the administration area while having a CDN that is not too expensive because of SSL on my main domain.
Does that means WordPress is bad? It does not mean WordPress is bad at all. It just didn't fit within my setup.
What will the new system be like? Optimized for speed and security!
Are the new system up for sale or free download? It will not be available for free download, but I am yet to decide whether or not I'll allow it to be sold. I do not think so at this time, but if I decide otherwise, I'll definitely make the world aware of it!
When will this be finished? I don't know as of yet. I plan to modify this page as we go along, so people can see how long we are in the progress, but to be absolutely sure you get to know about our progress, it would be a HUGE help if you would fill in your name and your email, and then you'll receive an email when something big has happened on this project.
